HEALING SERIES 6: HEALING IS FIRST COMPASSION

How many of us desire the gift of healing here?

Bukky: I won’t call it a desire. More like an if it’s for me let it be for me type of thing. Cause I heard ( Don’t know if I was taught wrong) that some people have certain gifts and others don’t. Don’t know if I made sense or it’s true

Dasi: As for me, I think I was told that I have the gift of healing

A lot of believers desire healing gifts. We want to say to the sick, be healed and they are healed. We want to drive out sickness when it comes to our dwelling

But we miss something. Our intent sometimes are wrong. A lot of want God's power to be displayed. Now, note that this is not a bad thing in itself o. Wanting God to display His power is good

Men are drawn to Him, but you see the gift of healing ehn, it's one of the most powerful also love-filled gift from God.

Sickness is a lot of pain

If you've been sick or know someone who has been terribly sick, it is so much pain. Pain beyond even the groanings you hear from them. Pain beyond their tears that you can see. Healing is not just God's power revealed. It is really God having compassion on men and putting an end to their pain

It is God relating to all man is going through. It is God understanding that you are in pain, Christ feeling that pain alongside you.

He understands humanity, for as a man, our magnificent King-Priest was tempted in every way just as we are, and conquered sin. Hebrews 4:15 TPT

There is a translation that says We do not have a high priest that cannot relate. For every pain man goes through, God feels that weight.

He knows exactly what we are going through
He knows how it hurts
He is hurt by that pain too

Sometime in 2018,  I had an encounter. I was walking to the store to buy something.

The Holy Spirit transported me to a far location and I saw a woman (she was white) and she was groaning in pain. Serious pain. She was shouting and crying. Groaning deeply. All of a sudden I felt the pain on her leg transferred to me

I screamed out in pain (also in real life. I was holding my leg, crying and shouting on the road but I wasn't conscious of this). I have never felt so much pain my entire life. And the shocking part was that woman had pains all over her body. I was only burdened with that of her leg

I started shouting and telling Jesus I don't want. I kept begging Him to take the pain. I didn't want that woman's pain. How can someone go through that kind of pain? ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

I saw a tear drop from Jesus

I looked at Him (He had been with me in the woman's room)

And then I realized He had the woman's pain too

The pain on her leg and all of her pains

It dawned on me then that I carried just little of this woman's pain and I wanted to die but Jesus was bearing all of her pains. Then He opened His body to me. And I saw screams from His body

Different people, from different nations of the earth

Thousands of sick people

Who probably think they are alone in this sickness

But Jesus was right there going through it with everyone

Imagine the weight of millions of people if I was screaming to the physical over one person's leg pain

At that moment, I begged him to take away that leg pain from me first before we continue the conversation. He did and then He told me the woman's name to pray for.

So this woman was an actual real life sick person. I tapped put and found myself crying on the street, standing on one spot, people looking at me almost ready to call the police. After that time, the Holy Spirit would visit me with names of people to pray for.

Sometimes I could hear a Mary in Germany and what is wrong with her. And there was something I was so experiencing, I get a taste of the pain they go through

Like I just feel the weight momentarily. And even in just that moment, it is so much pain

My only response was compassion

I came to understand this scripture "And Jesus, moved with compassion..."

It felt like I shared in their pain and though they were smiling to the world, they were in pain

I knew that pain briefly and my prayers completely changed

I will see a sick person and I'm moved to tears

I'm not okay until I pray

Healing is not just God's glory displayed. All of creature already displays the glory of God

Healing is God feeling man's pain and giving a solution

God loves people so much, so so much. I say it a lot that God is such a people person.

For as many of us that want to partner with God, we must love people

You see a sick person and the first thing that comes to your mind is let's work God power here

No!

Again, this in its entirety is not wrong o. Our first instinct is how these people are in so much pain and God really doesn't want them to be in pain.

Healing should not just be a display of power. It is God's love displayed

For everyone of us that want to operate in this ministry, we must get to that point where our hearts break when we see sick people.

You see a mad person, and you are drawn to compassion. They are not living God's best for them. They are in the worst pain but do not even know

Compassion!

There was a time I'd see myself in Hospitals. Thousands of sick people groaning in pain. By the time I'm back to reality, I'm crying and praying

The gift of healing is a love burden

It is partnering in love with God

It is not a gift to propel ourselves

It is not a gift we pray for because we want to belong. Oh everyone is healing these days. God is healing massively this season, so we want to be part.

This gift is solely about the people in pain and how God wants that pain to end for them. The one who administers healing is really not important in the scheme of things. If you desire the title, healing evangelist, you are maybe in the wrong place o.

Beyond the title is a heart that breaks for men. That knows and understands how God feels when they come in contact with sick

Tonight, if you've been praying for the gift of healing, I need you to pause and Change your prayer points. Start praying for compassion

PRAY FOR COMPASSION

Pray that the Lord gives you a heart filled with compassion. A heart that breaks over the things God's heart breaks over

A heart that moves as God's moves. And here is the thing with this God's kind of compassion. You already feel a pain alongside that sick person

It hurts you so much the only response you have is  praying that pain away. The gift of healing delivered

It is not your pain o but it becomes your pain

You are a partner with God

These are the men God is looking for

Not men who just want to display God's power

Men who love people and feel for them

Healing is First, compassion. We must never forget this

If we've started wrongly, let's retrace here

God wants us to partner with Him in this healing business but first, Compassion

HEALING SERIES 5: I HAVE PRAYED FOR HEALING BUT I AM STILL SICK

Can a true believer be sick?

To this, a true believer can be sick: Anybody can be sick

Being sick doesn't make you less in the sight of God. It doesn't mean you've sinned or done something wrong.

Failing bodies became as a result of the fall. Our bodies are weakened till they give up basically. While this is an order in this world, we are not of the world and Christ gave us an antidote for when we are sick while here

So you fall sick? You say the prayer of faith

And there is another sweet part, don't wait to fall sick before declaring healing. Death and life are in your tongue. The earlier you realize this, the better

Start eating the word of healing even now. Don't wait till you are sick

I have this bad habit of waiting till I'm very hungry and almost dying before I remember to eat. This is wrong. I should eat at the appropriate time. Force something in, hungry or not. Sick or not, eat the word of healing. Eat, so you will not have to eat.

I have prayed for healing but I am still sick.

This part of our series had me confused for years

I mentioned how I had Tinnitus for months, how I was falling sick every week for years. I was actually praying this period

I asked God for healing

People prayed for me and nothing happened (until a long time). I've also believed God for healing over people and sometimes, nothing happens. While I may not have the full answer to this question of "Why I didn't get healed", there is a fundamental truth I need us to hold on to:

Whatever went wrong in the process of praying for healing, whatever the malfunction is, it is NOT from God's end. Whatever it is that makes healing not accessible, the problem is not from God

Remember He is the problem solver, if a tiny part of us believes the glitch is from Him, what our inner man takes in indirectly is an impossibility of healing. If the one who promises to heal has a healing glitch, I'm permitted to believe that I may not have access to healing

So I need us to keep this with us, whatever went wrong is definitely not from God

As we go through the list of possible glitches, know that you are not the wrong. Keep this close too. You didn't do anything that has made God refuse to heal you

PS: God doesn't refuse to heal anyone in the first place

One thing we've established so far is that God is willing to heal. But somehow some people receive healing and some don't. In fact, some healing ministers that have healed tens of thousands do not receive healing themselves while sick.

I will be sharing some of the answers I've found over the years (as even I have been here before). I'm believing that these answers are helpful to us and spur healing for everyone still sick

1. Not full of the Word

He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions. Psalms 107:20 NKJV

A lot of people do not receive healing cos they do not have the word. We said in one of our teachings that the word is the healing activator. Now, it is not just in mouthing these words but it sitting inside of us. The word of healing we eat digests and births faith

Some of us, it is when trouble comes that we start searching for healing words. Note that the word works but it is the word that you believe that works. So if you are just searching, there is a possibility that the word has no root. Just surface belief, more like a quick fix to the problem at hand. And the bible says Faith comes by hearing and hearing, the word of God

It's either we have faith or not, and faith is birth by the word sitting richly in us. Know what God's will is about sickness. Keep telling yourself until that is the only thing your inner man believes.

Faith is a response to revelational truth. The call has to be made first, through the word

2. Shying away from Corporate Prayers

Some people don't receive healing because they are shying away from corporate prayers. They are ashamed of being sick. They don't want scenarios where people pray for them and they do not receive healing immediately. It will look somehow. So they'd rather continue to pray on their own

Hmmmm.

Can you see a pattern here? It's that of unbelief sprinkled lightly, almost invisible. By thinking that maybe you will not be healed, that's your spirit man indirectly accepting that healing may not be available to you. So subtle but yet still there

You've already created instances for you not being healed. That's an act against Faith

A lot of us have been on this table.

I don't want anybody looking at me with pitiful eyes and asking me every Sunday if I'm still feeling that pain so I pray alone. See, don't let the devil trap you. There is so much great power in the corporate anointing present in the church.

The body of Christ, the church is such a powerful force. Look at history, read revival books. Millions of healing took place through corporate gatherings

so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. Acts 5:15 NKJV

I think it was Pastor Poju or Dr Kay I heard this from: Peter's shadow was healing people but it was the prayer from the believers gathering in one accord that brought about this occurrences

God puts His glory in display so men can see His love for them. Healing is a strong salvation tool.

All of the healing recorded in this family, it is not Remi

There is an anointing that flows in corporate bodies. These signs shall follow them not him

God works with us as individuals o. God heals through individuals. But there is so much more to be accomplished as a body

Stop running away from public healing. That is you saying that God can publicly humiliate/disgrace Himself

Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. James 5:14‭-‬15 NKJV

Are you a pastor or you head your fellowship? Don't let the devil cheat you by telling you to pray alone

Let people pray for you

Let the prayer of faith be sent up on your behalf

3. False beliefs

Some of us believe that God makes people sick. God heals some and doesn't heal all. You are setting yourself up. If God cannot heal all, then maybe you are part of the statistics that God has chosen not to heal for whatever reason. Do you now see how flawed this belief is?

Let what we believe be guided by Christ's revelation of God

4. Unhealthy living

Sadly, some people don't receive healing cos they are not living healthy. Some of us are hoping on miracles to make up for our bad health habits. You don't drink water (I'm guilty of this). You over eat. You under eat etc

There are basics to health and quality living. We all should strive to live them

It is through God's wisdom that man has come to know these things. Simply adhere to them

5. Unbelief on the part of the person healing

Most times, I see us accusing people of not getting healed cos of their unbelief. "Oh! You didn't have enough faith"

Erhm... Dear minister, stop burdening people. Your faith alone can actually heal

Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk. Acts 3:6 NKJV

The man did not have faith to receive healing

He wasn't even expecting healing

He most likely wanted money

But Peter gave him healing. Did we need the man's faith here? No

Peter's faith in Christ was enough. We should stop condemning people and making them feel they are the reasons healing did not happen

Sometimes, it is our own faith. You are praying for someone and adding "If it is your will Lord"

Has that not been established? Also, don't be hard on yourself. The disciples at a time could not heal even after praying

You don't get answers now?

Keep pushing

Keep praying

Keep believing

6. An unforgiving Spirit

The devil schemes and always look for loopholes. While I was in pastoral college, our head tutor shared something. He was sick (can't remember the exact sickness). And the funny part was, he was healing people daily of that disease. So let's say for example he had a kidney problem. Everyday, people with the exact same disease will come to him and receive healing. It got to a point, people were recommending him. Doctors even. And this man was battling that exact sickness. Sometimes he didn't even need to lay hands, just close contact and instant healing

He got angry one day and started asking God why he was not healed. The Holy spirit opened His eyes to see that there was unforgiveness in him. And the devil was exploring that loophole so well. He prayed and reached out to the person. Asked her to pray for him also. Right there as he drove out of her compound, he received healing.

It was instant

Healing he had prayed for only activated when he righted that wrong. The minute he made peace

7. Restricting Healing to Miracles

Most believers have itchy ears. We want to attend a healing service and dramatically throw away our walking stick as a confirmation of healing. If it doesn't happen this way, we give up on healing

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. Mark 11:24 NKJV

A lot of us are waiting till we feel healing before we can believe healing. Nope

Scriptures says Believe, when you pray. It is not signs that tell me my prayers have been answered. It is not feelings. It is God's word and promises!

This is my anchor. Don't confuse those instant signs for your healing. Believe as you pray

Don't cast away faith because you did not get a "physical sign" immediately. We believe only one person's report in this kingdom.

HEALIGN SERIES 4: HEALING IS FOR ALL

We are getting to the hard parts of this series.

I want to ask us: Do you believe healing is for all?

Let me break it down

I bring 10 people who are sick here and we are to pray for them. Is healing available for all of them? Note that I'm not asking if God can heal them. But if they will be healed.

Soumi: For me yes

Mary: Yes, but I  think one has to believe first before getting healed

Have you ever prayed for 2 people with the same exact sickness? Person 1 was healed and person 2 did not receive healing. What did you think went wrong and what was your action after that?

I will answer. I didn't know what was wrong. I went back to prayers

A lot of us believe that God can heal but somehow also believe that He will not heal all. Over time, people have come to the conclusion that God is probably using sickness to teach and grow people

Like God sends actual problems to people.

We believe that's God's will for healing extends only to some. The paralyzed man at the pool of Bethesda. He wasn't the only sick person. In fact, that pool was filled with sick people waiting for healing.

But Jesus healed just that one man

Cases where Christ was moved in compassion towards a sick person and he healed them

So we've added these things together and concluded that "He has mercy on whom He will have mercy on". Here is the flawed part of this theology: How will I know I'm part of the people eligible for healing thanks to God's mercy?

So I get to only believe I'm part of those favored for healing by some revelation maybe

Faith begins where the will of God is known. If I do not get a memo from God that I've been recruited in this batch of healing, I am definitely not believing God for healing and I won't pray for it. If I even pray, it will be mere words.

You see this school of thought, I personally do not subscribe. Faith is not "God can", Faith is "God will"

In fact, God already has. So we just wait for physical manifestation. The word testament simply means a person's will. The death of Christ ushered in God's will for mankind.

A will cannot be changed after the person is dead. Clauses cannot be added to a will after death

You've written your will, it can't be changed when you die. The will of God for mankind as regards healing was revealed through Christ and it became finalized at the death of Christ

No addition or subtraction

So this will mean that if any of the generals of faith died of something outside God's will revealed through Christ, we will not on their behalf add a clause to God's will

If let's say Peter (The Rock) was sick and he got to that point where he thought God wants me to be sick till I die

Personally, I have gotten to that place where I will pause and hold on to God's will revealed through Christ instead. Note that this analogy is a stretch but a pointer to the things we allow based on the experiences of others

God said to Moses, “I will show mercy to anyone I want to show mercy to. I will show pity to anyone I choose.”  So God will choose anyone he decides to show mercy to, and his choice does not depend on what people want or try to do. Romans 9:15‭-‬16 ERV

Flash news: God has showed mercy to those He will show mercy. And it is to all of mankind (as many that are receive it)

In the past you were not a special people, but now you are God’s people. Once you had not received mercy, but now God has given you his mercy. 1 Peter 2:10 ERV

So if we believe that we have to be favored for healing. You need to know now that you already have

You are on the special list

We probably have people whose reality do not match all the things I've been typing. I will need you to do me a favor and just put your experience/reality one side first. It is not important in the scheme of things. In fact, look at it too much and it holds you back

It's hard o but please place it aside

I like the Gospels so much. It communicates God's complete will for man.

P.S if you are praying for healing or the gift, familiarize yourself with the Gospels

[23]Jesus went everywhere in the country of Galilee. He taught in the synagogues and told the Good News about God’s kingdom. And he healed all the people’s diseases and sicknesses.

[24]The news about Jesus spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all those who were sick. They were suffering from different kinds of diseases and pain. Some had demons inside them, some suffered from seizures, and some were paralyzed. Jesus healed them all.

[25]Large crowds followed him—people from Galilee, the Ten Towns, Jerusalem, Judea, and the area across the Jordan River. Matthew 4:23-25

He Healed all the peoples diseases and sickness Verse 23. 24 also confirmed He Healed them all

Everyone that came to Him were healed

[15]Jesus knew what the Pharisees were planning. So he left that place, and many people followed him. He healed all who were sick, Matthew 12:15

They followed Him. And what did He do, He Healed the sick amongst those who followed

[17]Jesus and the apostles came down from the mountain. Jesus stood on a flat place. A large crowd of his followers was there. Also, there were many people from all around Judea, Jerusalem, and the seacoast cities of Tyre and Sidon.

[18]They all came to hear Jesus teach and to be healed of their sicknesses. He healed the people who were troubled by evil spirits.

[19]Everyone was trying to touch him, because power was coming out from him. Jesus healed them all. Luke 6:17-19

Jesus healed them all

[38]You know about Jesus from Nazareth. God made him the Messiah by giving him the Holy Spirit and power. Jesus went everywhere doing good for people. He healed those who were ruled by the devil, showing that God was with him. Acts 10:38

Healing was part of the ministry of Christ

We finished Acts this week. The Acts of the Holy Spirit through the apostles

Or

The acts of the Apostles by the power of the spirit

This is the only unfinished book in the bible cos these acts continue until the day of our Lord. We here are part of the unfinished/unwritten parts of Acts

In the last recorded chapter of Acts, last miracle recorded was healing

Publius’ father was very sick. He had a fever and dysentery, but Paul went to him and prayed for him. He laid his hands on the man and healed him. After this happened, all the other sick people on the island came to Paul, and he healed them too. Acts 28:8‭-‬9 ERV

It is God's will that every sick person is healed. God is willing to heal ALL sick people

I had Tinnitus Last year. It doesn't have a medical cure. The ringing in my ear was so bad, I had to sleep with music playing. Anytime there is quiet, the ringing resumed

I prayed and prayed, nothing but I still believed. Then one day, I saw people talking about it on Twitter. See ehn, misery loves company. One of the people that had it is someone I saw as really spiritual and understood healing more than me. In their statement, they implied they were learning to live with tinnitus and even gave tips. Me too I wrote down the tips ๐Ÿ˜ญ

I was praying for healing but writing tips that will help me cope just in case. Sounds like common sense but that was a direct move against faith and prayers. That period my prayers shifted a bit. I was praying for healing but I was also praying to feel less pain, to not really suffer

What followed was the Tinnitus getting worse. It moved to both ears. I was praying for sleep everyday

Thank God for the Holy spirit and our daily prayers last year. I didn't stop praying. Had this illness for over 6 months. And I didn't even notice when it went

I was in Ibadan when it first clicked that the ringing had stopped and I had been sleeping well. Looking back, I probably would have been healed earlier if I wasn't looking at other people's experiences

God forbid I die tomorrow of one illness, I need you to know that this experience doesn't translate to God's will for you. You read God's generals and you are seeing such great people die in sickness and you accept that sickness is your portion.

Please no!

Nobody's experience changes the will of God. God will be true. And all of us with our contrary experiences will be liars (myself included)

The doctors told me tinnitus could not be healed. I researched for months. I almost even bought fake drugs on YouTube ๐Ÿ˜‚. About $1000

I think it was Samson that figured the company was scam

Please take God's word as your only standard

HEALING SERIES 3: THE WORD IS MY HEALING ACTIVATOR

The title of the teaching is personalized because going forward, I will need us to start personalizing these teachings. Your testimonies will come from here.

We already know that God is not punishing us with sickness and it is His will that we are saved. We've probably listened to a lot of teachings on healing also but nothing changes.

We are there, still sick

Still battling that sickness

Permit me to let you know that No more.

You are not permitted to remain sick after listening and following the words in this series.

You are at the end of that sickness road.

Congratulations

So how do we really get healed? How do we move from believing and really getting healed?

The word!

You see, the word is our healing activator.

My son, attend to my words; Incline thine ear unto my sayings.  Let them not depart from thine eyes; Keep them in the midst of thine heart.  For they are life unto those that find them, And health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:20‭-‬22 KJV

20 My son, pay attention to what I say. Listen closely to my words. 21 Don’t let them out of your sight. Never stop thinking about them. 22 These words are the secret of life and health to all who discover them. 23 Above all, be careful what you think because your thoughts control your life. ERV

Pay attention

Listen closely to my words

Don't lose sight of them!

Think about it always!

For these words are life unto those that find it. So first, we have to find the word

And it's not just life.

Also the secret of health to those who discover it.

(Strong's Concordance)

H4832 Hebrew: ืžַืจְืคֵּื

Transliteration: marpรชสผ

Pronunciation: mar-pay'

 ----------

Description: from ืจָืคָื(H7495); properly, curative, i.e. literally (concretely) a medicine, or (abstractly) a cure; figuratively (concretely) deliverance, or (abstractly) placidity; (in-)cure(-able), healing(-lth), remedy, sound, wholesome, yielding.

KJV usage: health (5x), healing (3x), remedy (3x), incurable (with H369) (1x), cure (1x), sound (1x), wholesome (1x), yielding (1x).

See the concordance for health: medicine, cure, deliverance.

These words are the secret of life and medicine to those who find them. These words are the secret of life and cure to those who find them. Proverbs 4:22

What we see here is God establishing where exactly your healing is. When people are sick, where do they go for medicine? Hospital

But now the Bible is saying that your healing, your medicine, your cure is in the word. But first, you have to find it.

You first have to know your rights and God's promises made to you.

What next after finding the words?

Pay attention to them. Make sure they don't leave your sight. Let them be on your lips always.

I want to ask: How many of us have words of healing in our heads right now? Like without searching on Google, you have these words in your heart and on your lips.

It's important that we know these Scriptures. So somebody may say, Remi I know these scriptures o but yet I've not been healed

Matthew 15

When that lady came to Jesus and He told her she couldn't have access to healing at that point cos healing is bread to the children.

But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. Matthew 15:26 KJV

I will share a person story  to this:

When I moved to Macedonia, I noticed something. Every meal serving had bread in it. You buy lasagna? They add bread. Rice? There is bread by the side. Potatoes? Bread by the side.

This used to annoy me. I later got to know it was a thing for most parts in Europe. Bread was a constant in their meals

So one day I was out in a restaurant. I used to go on these dates with the Holy Spirit. Dress up, eat and have conversations with Him

And of course, they served me bread. And the Holy spirit brought that scripture to my mind: Healing is bread to the children. Healing is a constant to the children

I was thinking,

So how do people really access healing?

Is it a hit or miss thing?

What happens when you've been praying and praying, yet nothing is happening.

Then He said to me again: Healing is bread to the children

What do you do with bread? You eat it

How do you get healing? You eat the word of healing

You eat it as constant as these bread servings!

The same way the bread comes with every meal

These words of healing should stay with you every time

Eat it with everything, at every time

Thanksgiving time? Eat your word of healing

Confess it in thanksgiving. Confess it while you work

Don't lose sight of it. Confess it till your whole being believes it. Continue to eat until all you shit out is healing.

You can't eat bread and pass out rice. It's not possible

You eat the word of healing? End product is healing

Eat it so well and much that your system has no other choice than to pass out healing

When people are not healed, most times we say probably it is a Faith problem. But how does the bible say faith comes? By hearing

Say it to yourself over and over and over and over again

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 KJV

The word of God

Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts. Jeremiah 15:16 KJV

Find the Word. Then eat it.

Take Home

Find the word

I will need everyone to find at least 10 healing scriptures. Personalize it and write it down. Proceed to Confess 2 of it daily (at different intervals), basically eat the word.

Also don't say I'm not sick o

Don't wait to be sick before you start

Also, we are not just activating healing for self

We are giving it out to men

HEALING SERIES 2: HEALING IS GOD'S WILL

He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions. Psalms 107:20 NKJV

Glory.

He sent His word

His word revealed (Jesus) and this word healed us

This healing in turn meant deliverance from destructions for us

Again, the word is Jesus, who is the divine revelation of God. If you do not know Jesus, you cannot know/understand healing.

Don't get it wrong, an unbeliever can receive healing if prayed for but that unbeliever can permit sickness in their bodies cos they don't know Christ. The sickness will come back basically.

Even believers that lack this knowledge suffer same fate, which is why the bible says my people perish because they lack knowledge. Most times we are languishing in sickness because we do not know. We are yet to come to full understanding of God's will concerning sickness and diseases

And here is my belief: People need the word more than they need healing

The word enables us to not even give room to sickness in the first place. It opens us to certain truths about who we really are.

Should we fall sick, we speak to it immediately. We do not condone it at all. I had a revelation over the night and I was gisting those in Ibadan with me this morning. So lately, I've been having this pain in my legs. I stand most times when I'm praying (ministering) or kneel, then I'm usually stressed too. So I assumed this was a result of the stress and all

Usually after ministering for long, my leg gives way most times and I just want to rest. In my mind, this is my body telling me to rest more and take care of it. (PS. I'm a firm believer in resting our bodies so this message is not against it)

Since I started feeling this pain in my leg, in my head "it is not that serious", so I just ask someone around to help me massage my body.

I've been asking everyone in Ibadan to help me massage my leg but they've been airing me ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Samson offered to help Saturday night but I somehow forgot and didn't meet him. So in the revelation, I saw myself asking for a massage again.

"Please help me massage my leg and my shoulders" And the Holy spirit came beside me and clapped ๐Ÿ˜‚

He made a statement: Continue to pet this sickness o. Continue to pat in on the back. This was around 3am in the midnight

I stood up and I was like. "It is just body pain na, it's not that I'm sick"

And the Holy spirit helped me to realise this, that so many times we allow sickness with:

It's just headache

It's just menstrual pain

It's just body pain

It's just...

Most times the devil doesn't start afflicting believers with "big" sickness. He knows the body of Christ will rally round and speak over you. He knows you can send it out with your authority

So he starts with the little sickness, the ones we term as it's just.. He is banking on us allowing those little ones that will now generate into bigger problems. Because they've stayed too long in our body

So as we speak on healing, I want us to open our hearts and ears. We are not just talking of Cancer or those sickness with big and scary names. God's healing is valid for everything and I need us to take what is ours in this period.

It is God's will that you are healed

Even of that seemingly little headache that is getting consistent

Of that body pain

Of that menstrual period

Just name it

Emotional healing

Physical healing

Whatever it is, maybe it has name or not, big in your eyes or small. It is God's will that you are healed of it

Scripture says that the wholeness the Messiah brings has no limit.

I love it soooo much

No limit

No restrictions

It is complete wholeness

Your key to experiencing this is first believing it!

You know when you pray for a sick person for healing and in the middle you are putting "If it is your will God"

That's your unbelief jumping out, sometimes induced by ignorance.

Actually all times.

If you are saying "if it is your will God", then you really don't know God's will and you are not sure your prayer might be effective

It is always God's will to heal

So no need to say "If it is your will. God has said it is His will already so why are you still saying if if every time?

It is God's will!

When you use that if statement, what you are doing is destroying your words of healing. It's like somebody planting and at the same time uprooting immediately. You are rendering your words of healing useless basically.

When we say that it is God's will that all men be saved. It is God's will that our sins are washed away. Do we pray for people and say "If it is God's will to wash away your sins/save you"?

Fola: So this means it doesn’t apply to sickness only but other things ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”

Answer: No. Reason is God (through Christ Jesus) already established healing as His will. In fact, one of the things Jesus accomplished on the cross for us is healing. The only reason Jesus had to be beaten like a thief was for our healing.

So if we believe every other thing achieved in Calvary, we should not doubt healing.

Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was  wounded for our transgressions, He  was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:4‭-‬5 NKJV

He bore our griefs and sorrows. So probably you are in need of emotional or physical healing, the first thing Christ did was carry the weight of it. Everything (past, present, future). So if I'm carrying a heavy bucket of water and someone comes to carry it for me, what does it mean?

I'm relieved from that pain. Maybe temporarily until they decide they are tired.

Now, Jesus permanently lifted this load off us.

Emotional sickness

Mental sickness

Physical sickness

All have been lifted off you. You can't afford to be carrying a load someone else has not just carried but destroyed

He was wounded and bruised for us. It wasn't just coincidental that Jesus went through that. No. There was a purpose to it.

Sickness is a result of sin (the nature), everyone that has this nature is subject to sickness. It is why man has to be born again (change His thinking through the word)

In the suffering of Jesus is embedded provision for your healing

For mine. For the world

And this provision extends to all type of healing. If you don't believe God heals emotional or mental sickness, you are not positioned to receive it

Healing is your legal right as a believer.

In Matthew 15, Jesus told that woman who asked for healing, that healing belonged to the children. It is their legal right

Healing is bread to the children

Probably you are wondering, "Remi, if healing is God's will, why then are people sick?"

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. II Peter 3:9 NKJV

God's will is that nobody perishes but will people perish? Yes!

Here's how I feel about these things, God's will is brought to life by agreeing men. So if God's will is that nobody perishes, men have to align to this will of I am not perishing. If God's will is that nobody should be sick, I have to be in agreement to it also.

And here is the thing with healing as it is for salvation: The price has already been paid!

You know when something is bought for in your name and you just have to pick it up with a reference code? Exactly! This is the perfect picture. Your healing has been paid for. You are not just trying to negotiate it. It is already completely done

Take your reference code (the word) and get your healing: who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness— by whose stripes you were healed. I Peter 2:24 NKJV

Past tense

Done, done and dusted

Jesus is not receiving extra stripes or beating o. He did it once and for all

So this is true of healing: It is God's will that you are healed!

God has already healed you!

You have to believe the first statement to believe the second and they are both true.

And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Matthew 8:2 NKJV

The leper came to Jesus needing healing. Now look at it this way, the leper came off as being okay with just worshipping Christ even if it doesn't lead to healing. So he asks Christ, "Lord, if you are willing, heal me"

So if Jesus is not willing, that's fine too. I will continue to worship

Most times, Jesus replied people with parables first. But you see this leper man got a straightforward answer

I am willing

It was straight to the point, no room for extra interpretation. And this answer is same for you and I today, It is God's will that we are healed

Straight forward.

Don't overthink or analyse

There are no buts or maybe

This statement is true for you and the world at large. Another proof of Healing being God's will is Heaven's design.

What is the eternal plan?

What is the plan before man fell?

What was the plan before man fell?

In heaven, there is no sickness.

In eternity, there will be no sickness

"Your will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven"

What Jesus came down to do was also reveal the father's will. God's will is that men be saved

Healing is a full package in our salvation

If heaven has no mental sickness, emotionally sick people, people with cancer, then it is God's will that men live this way on earth too. It is God's will that you enjoy good, perfect health

Believe this and begin to live it

HEALING SERIES 1: INTRODUCTION TO HEALING

Question: I know we all know what healing is but I will like those of us online to just drop a sentence on healing. Anything that comes to your mind.

Ally: I think healing has to do with restoration of physical, mental, emotional, (financial๐Ÿคฃ) wholeness

Pearl: Being transferred from a state of infirmity(physical mental,  emotional) to wholeness of health. (Physical, mental, emotional.)

Samson: Healing is the restoration of health and well-being

Fola of London: To be sound or to be made whole . Could be physical or mental

Jane: Restoring to normalcy

Question: Has anyone here been sick? Or you are currently sick? Or you know someone who is sick? What was going on in your mind about them (you) and the sickness?

Ibukun: When I was in the hospital on Dec 24th 2020 with ulcer pains, I was scared and in panic. I kept saying God please take the pain away

Restoring to Normalcy - Healing!

You see sickness was never part of the plan at creation. Did we see sickness in any of the things God created? No!

Sickness did not come from God

I want us to know this truth and hold on to it like our lives depend on it.

In Genesis 1, the Bible says everything God made was good. God saw it and confirmed it was good.

To understand healing and God's divine will about it, we will have to first check how sickness came in.

If you really want to understand a disease or sickness, you should be focused more on the cause than measures to treat it. Understanding the cause helps you to know exactly how to tackle that problem.

So let's go to the very beginning. The men that lived in the beginning lived really long. For 17 centuries, men lived for long: 777years, 979 years 365years etc

None of these people died sick. They grew old and just died

No heart disease, no diabetes, no cancer. There is an expectation today for older people to fall sick. In fact, some people save ahead for it.

A lot of us have and invest in health insurance also, of course for the days we fall sick. Sickness has become a normal in our world today

Question: How and when do we think sickness came into the world?

Samson: After the fall of man and sin came into the world. Sin brought death, sickness, pain and all the paparazzi

Question: Can anyone remember the first mention of sin in the bible?

Samson: Genesis 48 vs 1

The fall of man caused a lot of things. Sin resulted in sickness. Man became sick

And not just physical sickness. Sickness is being in a state or condition of illness. A state that is not normal, something that opposes the original wiring of man.

The minute man fell, man became sick all round. Man became sick in the spirit, body, everything you can think of. Man's normal wiring changed. So man started living a life that is not in accordance with the original creation template.

There is this myth that AA genotypes have malaria easily So I used to claim it. Oh! I'm AA so malaria is a normal thing for me. I can have it like 10 times in a year because I'm AA. And the Holy spirit opened my eyes to it that I was confessing a normal that is not my template.

It's normal for people to become sick now. It's normal for people to build hospitals today

Imagine Adam and Eve building hospital before the fall. For what? The world became corrupted and cursed at the fall of man. And it will keep deteriorating till this world is ended.

Does this mean we have to accept sickness until our new world? No!

“For I will restore health to you And heal you of your wounds,’ says the LORD, ‘Because they called you an outcast saying: “This is Zion; No one seeks her.” Jeremiah‬ ‭30:17‬ ‭NKJV

I will restore you back to the original order. What I had in mind when I created man. Though God did not cause sickness in the world, God did not push man to sin. Yet God still actively found a way to restore man to the original order.

Today, as we celebrate Easter, one of the things we actually celebrate is the fulfilment of God's word to the prophet Jeremiah. So if we accept sickness as a part of us, we are really not true partakers of sickness. One of the things Jesus' death accomplished for us is healing.

"I don't know why God made me sick" "I know God wants to use this sickness for a purpose"

Erhm...

God is not using anything. God is not responsible for that sickness. His wish is that you are in good health always.

Jesus bore so much pain just to make sure we were healed. Do you know how they beat Him? Even the person that steals in open markets does not get beaten up that much o

And that was allowed for just one reason: Your healing

A thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But I came to give life—life that is full and good. John 10:10 ERV

A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to  give you everything in abundance, more than you expect —life in its fullness until you overflow! John 10:10 TPT

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). John 10:10 AMPC

Christ came so we will enjoy life. Sick people are always in pain, that's not enjoyment. Sickness leads to Death. The aim is to kill, so we can be assured it is from the devil

One thing most of us struggle to get is that the same power that saved us healed us. These things were worked at the same time.

Do we believe we are saved? If yes, why then do we believe we are not or can't be healed?

The first time I had this conversation with the Holy Spirit

I kuku responded

Nobody can see salvation physically na. So it's just a thing of the heart. But health can be seen. I can see if I'm healed or not

And the spirit reminded me of this saying: Faith precedes manifestation

Seeing is believing ❌ This is not kingdom principle, so it is a lie.

We believe then we see.

If we doubt healing, then we can as well start doubting salvation. Because that one is even more complex

There is no ID number given to you to confirm you are saved except that faith. So what if you get to heaven and they say you did not get saved on earth ๐Ÿ˜‚. It sounds somehow abi?

Exactly.

That faith that we have that we've been saved, we need to have it that we've been healed to.

One of the things I've found that makes believers to allow sickness is this belief that God sends sickness, allows sickness or uses it.

God is not planning to prove anything through that sickness. God always works things out for our good

We should not mistake this to be God causing sin Himself so He can prove a point. That is wicked

Remember we just finished the gospel according to  John and we all agreed that Jesus is the living expression of God.

If Jesus cannot do it, God cannot do it!

We've discussed sickness coming in as a result of sin. There are also human actions that lead to sickness

Bad health habits

Bad eating habits can lead to sickness. Gluttony can lead to obesity which leads to sickness

Health compatibility in marriage

This is another reason for sickness

Before now, our parents didn't know so much.

They were ignorant about these things

But now, our generation is very much aware of  health compatibility, yet people still marry without giving a care about genotypes. And it's more of carelessness than faith on their part

If it were faith, they will activate the healing before they get married and even heal the person ahead.

There are so many other physical causes of sickness. But everything still points back to the fall of man. And the devil

If man didn't fall. If we decide to eat all the food in the garden, I doubt that we will get obese and be sick. I don't even know if we will be hungry in the first place

So we must know, recognize and accept that only one person is responsible for sickness and it is the devil. If you are sick or you know anyone who is, let this be your thoughts and belief:

The devil is responsible for that sickness

This determines our reaction and how we treat sickness in the long run

So I want us all to believe this strongly

We will stop here tonight and continue on Sunday. Please don't miss any part of this teaching.

Healing gifts will be activated before the end of this series

Testimonies will flow. Before we meet next week, I want you to start praying for the sick around you.

If it is not the will of God then it should not be. So start praying for the sick now

FAITHFULNESS IN GOD'S SERVICE

What is faithfulness? What do we understand by faithfulness?

Ally: I think faithfulness is being "committed" to something or someone

Some synonyms of faithful include, loyalty, allegiance, fidelity. All these are strong words that we use in everyday speeches. They sure mean a lot to us.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,” Galatians‬ ‭5:22‬ ‭NKJV

“But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions: joy that overflows, peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, a life full of virtue, faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit. Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.” Galatians‬ ‭5:22-23‬ ‭TPT

KJV actually renders the word "faithfulness" as "faith". The Greek word used there does not mean "faith" but "faithfulness". This means that faithfulness is already a fruit we have, produced in us by the Spirit of God residing in us. We can be faithful because we're born again. What this means is, God does not require from us what he has not given us capabilities to be or do

Having established what faithfulness means, what then is service? By English definition, service is an act of being of assistance to someone.

Ally: Doing something for someone

I want us to properly understand the terms used in the definition of service

1. Assistance

2. Someone

If we say God's service, it means we're being of assistance to God. Think about it for a minute

Will God, the God of the Heavens and Earth, that created everything by the word of mouth? Is there anything he cannot do? We all say "what God cannot do does not exist" and we say right. If so, why will God, needing no help require my service? i.e. my assistance?

We'll unravel as we proceed.

WHY SHOULD WE BE FAITHFUL IN GOD'S SERVICE?

1. God is faithful

God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:9 NLT

“God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful.” 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭NLT

We see that scriptures established that God is faithful. Firmly committed to us. He is loyal.

If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is. 2 Timothy 2:13 NLT

2. God requires faithfulness

And the Lord replied, “A faithful, sensible servant is one to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his other household servants and feeding them. Luke 12:42 NLT

The Lord Jesus himself told parables on faithfulness. It shows how highly he requires it.

3. The Apostles demanded faithfulness even as they were faithful

You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others. 2 Timothy 2:2 NLT

Because of God’s grace to me, I have laid the foundation like an expert builder. Now others are building on it. But whoever is building on this foundation must be very careful. 1 Corinthians 3:10 NLT

In 2 Timothy 2:2, we see a plan for 4 generations to receive the gospel simply on the premise of faithfulness.

Paul was faithful and committed to Timothy

Timothy should be faithful in commuting to faithful men

The faithful men should be faithful in committing to others! What a big deal!

Apostle Paul called himself a wise master builder! What an accolade!

4. We're beneficiaries of faithfulness

Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.  Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18‭-‬20 NLT

Post resurrection, Jesus committed the gospel to 11 people. 11 unlearned people. Those 11 men ran with the gospel with faithfulness and that's why we've the gospel today. Think of Paul, who suffered many perils, yet wouldn't relent in the preaching of the gospel, even in prison, he still was concerned for his converts.

What is going to happen to the next generation? Can they boast on our faithfulness as a reason while they heard the gospel?

5. Ministry requires it

Because of God’s grace to me, I have laid the foundation like an expert builder. Now others are building on it. But whoever is building on this foundation must be very careful. 1 Corinthians 3:10 NLT

If you're going to build, it requires carefulness and faithfulness. We've been called to build men! We might say, oh, I'm not a pastor or evangelist or any 5 fold ministry. But all believer have a ministry of reconciliation

In other words, it was through the Anointed One that God was shepherding the world, not even keeping records of their transgressions, and he has entrusted to us the ministry of opening the door of reconciliation to God. 2 Corinthians 5:19 TPT

BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF FAITHFUL MEN

The Bible is replete with men that served God, from the old testament to the new Testament and served with faithfulness.

a. Our Lord Jesus Christ

We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God! Hebrews 12:2 TPT

Jesus showed the example of faithfulness! Faithful to the end! I want us to know that Jesus died as a man like you and I, not with a body higher than ours with maybe higher threshold of pain, no! I mean Jesus could have taken the beatings, mockery, spitting, carrying the Cross etc. And then on the cross, even with nails and crown if thorns on, he could have looked at the people mocking his kingship and come down, pull out the nails and say "una no even worth am"๐Ÿ˜ƒ

What made Jesus stay? Faithfulness to the cause! This is to say that faithfulness would require us pushing through the inconveniences, pain, rejection, tiredness, discouragements etc!

I mean, how many of us leave our secular job (assisting a man)  because of tiredness?  Why then would we leave God's work?

b.  Moses

Not so with My servant Moses; he is faithful in all My household. Numbers 12:7 HCSB

See God boast of Moses' faithfulness!

c. Timothy

This is why I have sent Timothy to you. He is my dearly loved and faithful son in the Lord. He will remind you about my ways in Christ Jesus, just as I teach everywhere in every church. 1 Corinthians 4:17 HCSB

We all know how Paul worked, yet he acknowledged Timothy's faithfulness.

d. The disciples of Jesus

The disciples of Jesus were faithful and supportive of Jesus' ministry and of course after his early ministry - Acts 4:19-20

e.  David and Jonathan: 1 Sam 23:15-17

f. Other believers in the bible

 Epaphras - Col 1:7

Onesimus- Col 4:9

Silvanus - 1 Peter 5:12

Tychicus - Eph 6:21

The list is inexhaustible.

Jesus in Matthew 24:45 says

“Who then is a faithful and sensible slave, whom his master has put in charge of his household, to give them food at the proper time? Matthew 24:45 HCSB

The master cannot be in charge of his household, so he requires a faithful slave!

Ministry is doing for God, what God cannot do for himself. Think about it. Does God need help? No! But this one thing, he does!

If we see service to God as the God who made the worlds relying on us to do stuff for him, to wins souls he died for, to cater to the needs of his body (the church), to look after that brother or sister, to give to that needy, to pray for that person, just this one thing and we cannot be faithful?

Let's have a sober reflection.

Faithfulness is big to God, it must matter to us.

Just as we won't do our secular job anyhow, let's not do same for God.

This is the assistance, this is our service. And you know what, like we started with, it's not a demand from God, what we cannot give.

Remember Galatians 5:22...the fruit of our spirit is... Faithfulness. We have it's! Let's draw from within!
